HEFEI, China – April 25, 2026 marked the conclusion of Sungrow’s third Global Renewable Energy Summit (GRES 2026), a four-day event that brought together over 500 international experts, partners and industry leaders. Under the theme “Value-Driven, Scenario-Proven,” the summit showcased Sungrow’s latest innovations across PV, energy storage and multi-energy integration, solidifying its position as a global leader in renewable energy solutions.

PowerMatrix: A Revolutionary System Architecture for Renewable Grids

The biggest announcement of the summit was PowerMatrix, a groundbreaking system architecture that redefines how renewable energy grids operate. Built on five core breakthroughs – multi-port topology, native PV-storage integration, distributed control, reconfigurable energy paths and source-level grid-forming – PowerMatrix unifies PV, storage, grid and loads into a single dynamic network. This enables real-time energy routing and optimization, dramatically improving system stability, cost efficiency and scalability. Sungrow also launched the Matrix Inverter, the core hardware that powers this new paradigm.

PowerTitan 3.0: Next-Gen Utility-Scale Energy Storage

Sungrow unveiled its PowerTitan 3.0 utility-scale energy storage system, engineered for maximum profitability and safety. Integrating 600+ Ah stacked battery cells with a fully liquid-cooled SiC PCS, it achieves a round-trip efficiency of up to 92%. Its innovative AC block design supports factory pre-installation and pre-commissioning, allowing the system to self-configure in just one hour. This means a 1 GWh energy storage project can now be fully deployed in only 12 days – a game-changer for the industry.

Tailored Solutions for Every Industry Scenario

Sungrow presented a comprehensive portfolio of scenario-specific solutions addressing the unique needs of different sectors:

  • AIDC & Data Centers: Released a white paper on AI data center power supply, introducing a grid-to-chip solution based on a “Green–Gray–White” three-space architecture designed for MW-level racks and GW-scale clusters. A new high-efficiency solid-state transformer will launch later this year.

  • Mining Microgrids: Launched a full-stack mining microgrid solution in partnership with TÜV Rheinland, covering systems from 2.5MW to over 100MW multi-microgrid clusters, optimized for remote and harsh mining environments.

  • Green Hydrogen: Showcased advanced off-grid hydrogen production technologies, with its upgraded PV-storage-hydrogen test platform passing long-term validation. The solution is already deployed in Europe, supporting regional hydrogen economy development.

Extreme Validation & Industry-Leading Grid-Forming Capabilities

Sungrow announced the successful completion of the world’s first large-scale full-condition grid-forming extreme test, certified by TÜV Rheinland. The 138-hour test covered 14 critical scenarios, meeting the strictest grid codes of all major global markets. Additionally, its PowerKeeper C&I ESS series became the industry’s first modular system to pass seven extreme challenge tests, designed around the “0 Waste, 0 Outage, 7 Ups” philosophy.

Global Momentum: 11 GWh in New Orders Signed

During the summit, Sungrow signed strategic agreements with global partners, securing over 11 GWh in new energy storage orders. The company reported 143 GW of PV inverter shipments and 43 GWh of energy storage deliveries in 2025, reinforcing its Tier-1 market position. Called the Energy Storage Validation Laboratory (ESVL), the site aims to help move the global energy storage industry toward a new standard of real-world, system-level testing before projects are deployed.
