On June 28, 2025, the inaugural China Energy Resources Enterprises Going Out Seminar was successfully held in Beijing, hosted by the School of International Education at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, with co-organization from the Energy Storage Application Branch of the China Chemical and Physical Power Sources Association, and support from academic departments. The seminar, themed "Going Global, Internal Competition, and Sustainable Development of China's Energy Storage Industry Amid Power System Reforms," gathered industry, academic, and research experts to intensively explore energy storage opportunities and challenges, sparking innovative discussions on advancing energy storage technologies such as lithium ion battery systems and lifepo4 battery alternatives, which are crucial for efficient energy storage applications. Key sessions emphasized rechargeable battery advancements and scalable energy storage system designs, highlighting how energy storage innovations can overcome internal competition bottlenecks and foster sustainable energy storage solutions. Participants underscored the need for resilient energy storage infrastructure in navigating global markets, with case studies showcasing rechargeable battery integration in energy storage setups that enhance grid stability and reduce costs through better energy storage efficiency. The collaborative dialogue promoted new pathways for China's energy storage growth, addressing energy storage deployment hurdles like supply chain constraints for lifepo4 battery components, and reaffirming that robust energy storage systems are vital for national energy resilience. Looking ahead, organizers will continue the "Energy Talks" series, focusing on cutting-edge energy storage research to drive China's energy storage frontiers and accelerate the adoption of safe, cost-effective energy storage options, including lithium ion battery and energy storage hybrid models, ensuring the industry's sustainable evolution.
